Everything about this brings fond thoughts of mom. From the yellow lily to the creative addition of the border. The dark green leaves and deep shadow behind the flower make a great contrast really making this photo stand out. The message simple and clear. Brings back fond memories of mom to me, may she rest in peace. Absolutely stunning in it’s simplicity.
I would have to rate this piece as a 5 out of 5. The composition is perfect, description wonderful and tone’s are great. Sometimes simplicity is the best option. The addition of the border is a nice touch that really framed the shot well. I would have to ...

Not only the composition but the development could not be more spot on. More so the description is not only present but very detailed and accurate. Let’s dive into more detail on the review and what makes this such a great shot and example of good photography.
Let’s start with the composition it is a perfect example of use of the rule of thirds. The waves crashing on the rocks in the background really add to the shot. the contrast of the gull’s head to the rocks right behind it let it get a bit lost a different angle may have ...

I’m starting the day a bit sore but hope not to let that affect my review. Today’s review is on the photo Chilean Tree by Judy Lunsford.

There is much to love about this shot. It would appear to be a tone mapped or HDR photo. I love the composition, the colors and the balance. There is a surreal look and feel to the scene which suggests detailed development after the photo was taken. Due to the lack of shadows I would have to speculate it’s been taken through the HDR Process and tone mapped for the surreal effect. All in all I love the this work. I would have to rate it a 4 out of 5.
What’s lacking on this work is a solid description it’s great that it was taken by Judy Lunsford but more detail could lead to more keywords ...

There is a natural beauty to properly used depth of field and to each individual flower. It’s almost as if the simplest of things has the most complex beauty. Flowers and foliage are some of my favorites. The intricate leaves, buds, and blooms are a beauty not always seen as such. This photo has that simplistic beauty. It’s easy to see the subject and the glistening dew on the edges really give it that extra punch. This is a wonderful macro shot properly framed with an excellent composition. The low angle helps us see the sky line in the distance and really aids to that depth of field. Too often we don’t or ...

There is more than a little to like from this shot. From the compositional angle to the shutter speed this shot speaks volumes to me. The biggest thing screaming to me is Cold Feet. Seriously it’s a great shot with a unique perspective. Gary has done a great job at bringing us upstream in a way that I would imagine salmon and other small animals would see, such as a through the eyes of a beaver or otter perhaps. I love the way the upstream angle just gets lost in the forest and seems to go on forever. The effect is very dramatic and ...
