This yellow warbler was on display at the Glen Oak Zoo in Peoria Illinois. They were very active only stopping for moment before flying off to a different perch.
This badger, which are also known as brocks, looked very at home in this concrete block. Made me think of those child hood toys, like a Jack in the box. Photograph was taken at Wild Life Prairie Park in Hana Illinois.

This stylophorum diphyllum stood out in stark contrast to it’s surroundings along a path at Wild Life Prairie Park in Central Illinois. The poppy-wort (also known as stylophorum, celandine poppy, wood poppy, or yellow poppy) is a member of the poppy family native to eastern North America.
The gray wolf, more commonly referred to as the wolf, is a powerful and elegant creature in it’s own right. The expression captured here reflects one of almost concern and a vulnerability that is not normally expected. Wolves are frequently featured in folk lore and mythology in both a positive and negative fashion.
The capture of this grey/gray wolf just caught me off gaurd. While this photo was taken at Wild Life Prairie State Park in Illinois, this elegant creature is native to the area. This Takin couldn’t seem to be happy chasing his captive mate around.
It was kinda funny watching this porcupine trail behind his friends almost as if to ask Am I Late?
The setting and pose of this cute creature almost begs the question. Did you call for me?

We’ve all been there and been asked to reserve that seat for someone. Even this husband has been asked to save his spouses seat while she Powders her nose.
All I can think of is that movie where Pauly Shore kisses that camel. LOL
All in life is lost without that special someone. This pair of African Lions shows just how simple it truly is.

This pair of lions seemed quite at home in this naturalistic habitat.
I couldn’t resist this close up of the zebra. It’s almost like he’s sniffing for something.
Every creature big and small needs to take the time to play.
Nothing like a good game of follow the leader after playing in the mud a bit. These Rhino’s really know how to live it up.
Even large creatures such as the rhino enjoy a good game of follow the leader. Especially after their mud bath.
Nature has a unque way of showing us simple elegance.
