Just look to the animal kingdom and you’ll see it’s more than okay to stand out. This saffron finch has many times eluded me and was able to escape my shutter. I look forward to the challenge of getting him even closer still.
Even birds have a vain streak to them.
I know if I sit here long enough they’ll leave and I can go about my business. Thank fully I have a tremendous amount of patience and was able to wait for this shot.
Every single guy gets that same silly grin when a good looking lady enters view and they happen to think, well is she for me?

This guy just looks so alone. While it doesn’t seem like it should be the Red Wolf is still a highly endangered species.
This chickenhawk, red-tailed hawk, appeared to just be checking the weather to see if it is yet time for spring.
Remember it is very important to stretch before flight to avoid cramping up and plumeting to an untimely end.

I don’t think there is another bird that reserves the right to look as proud as this elegant eagle of the US. Naturally he just looks regal and proud.
Who is to say prayer is gone. This national bird, the bald eagle, demonstrates it’s basic function even today. Nothing seems to speak louder volumes than that of a national icon.
This Sea Lion at Miller Park zoo in Bloomington Illinois just happened to be annoyed by the light. Why else would she be yelling “Hey buster close the shades!” Ahhh the joys of a successfull relationship.

After being feed it would appear these mammels don’t have to wait for 1 hour before swimming. In fact this Sea Lion at Miller Park Zoo used his full belly to calmly go for a swim.

The skin of this mammel certainly appears slick as she swims at Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington Illinois in the early spring. This Sea Lion graceful as only nature could show demonstrated a large amount of elegance as well.
This Sea Lion at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington Illinois, really seemed to be enjoying this early spring swim. I must say I enjoyed watching him create wave of entertainment after wave.

My favorite bird at Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, Illinois is back. This Piping Guan just can’t help but find his way into many a shot as he seems to have so many expressions. I enjoy getting a shot of this bird when I can.
This black neck stilt was enjoying his pond at the Miller Park Zoo Tropical Rainforest exhibit in Bloomington, IL. This bird provided some challenges as I struggled to keep up with him. Finally I captured this shot of the avian.

While you may always fall short when you look too high. Looking the highest you can will ensure you land higher than you are now. At least that is what this self reflecting Red Tail Hawk is telling me.
