Veterans Point Memorial

[singlepic id=215 w=320 h=240 float=left]Even before I enlisted I have had the utmost respect for those whom serve our country.  If you are as patriotic as I am and find your self passing through Illinois I strongly encourage at stop by the Veterans Memorial at Weldon Springs in Clinton Illinois.  This shot, left was is just the beginning of the memorial.  I was unable to capture more of the memorial due to pain.  Their are markers for Veterans whom have served in almost every conflict from WWI to Korea, and even the Gulf conflicts. Left is the original shot taken with Nikon D60 on Mothers Day, May 8, 2011.

[singlepic id=214 w=320 h=240 float=right]While my final may seem a bit haunting that was the effect I was going for.  I take few things more serious, honor and respect to Military Veterans is one that I will give ’til my dying day.  I will never stray from my respect or view.  Our Veterans deserve no less than our respect and each and everyone should be treated with such.  Since my discharge I’ve met many types of people and have had a few rather loud arguments advocating Veterans rights.  God Bless to Veterans of all services for this country and thank you for your service.
