Wakening Forest – Redeveloped

[singlepic id=174 w=320 h=240 float=left] “Wakening Forest” aptly named as it was spring and green was just starting pop up along the trail we were on.  The original photograph was taken in April of 2008 at Moraine View Park near Leroy Illinois and is shown left.  There is something about spring that just speaks volumes of new life and chances in everything around.  Dormant plants and trees start to breathe a new life into the world and as a general tidbit people are generally happier in spring than winter.  My guess is the hope and faith that with new growth and birth comes new chances.

[singlepic id=175 w=320 h=240 float=right] The developed version of this work, shown right, took a bit of time as the path really wanted to blend in with much of the still dormant forest.  This challenge was accepted by spending more time than what I normally need to in adjusting contrast levels both in the mid-tone and highlight range.  The inspiration to share new life and growth with as many people as possible kept me going to bring this piece to be.  Sometimes the best of concepts need the most work and this piece showed me no difference.  As spring continues to roll in here in Illinois and summer draws close here’s to the hope and faith that it will be a good year for as many as possible.  Should that not happen have faith that there will be another chance of rebirth next year.  Hold to the hope and faith that nature brings in abundance.
