Clear Blue Sky Day – Rework

[singlepic id=168 w=320 h=240 float=left]When I took this photo it was just a perfect day. I recall little to no wind and a perfect peaceful day. Photo was taken on May 17, 2008 with a Panasonic DMC-FZ20 5 MP Digital Camera.  One of my best shots of the time.  I love so much about this piece and was afraid to develop it in excess at that time, mostly due to my lack of knowledge.  I was afraid that by developing the photo I would not be taken serious as a photographer.  I have learned over the years that I was mistaken.  I know now that the pride in each and every piece needs to take precedence over fear.

[singlepic id=169 w=320 h=240 float=right]  This is the resulting photograph.  The overall process took well over two hours.  This may seem excessive to most but for me it is a matter of pride in developing the shot I envisioned for that day.  For me, time is not the essence of what I do but the essence is well worth all the time.  I am willing to put as much time into a project as it takes to do it right.  I have a large collection of photographs that I am revisiting and plan to spend the time on each and every one.
