[singlepic id=88 w=320 h=240 float=right]What better way to enjoy the day than being out in the hot sun. This African Rhinoceros knows hot far better than we do. Such thick skin and strength adds to it’s character. While native to Africa this critically endagered megafauna simply seems content and at home in it’s exhibit at Glen Oak Zoo in Peoria, Illinois. The odd-toed ungulate may seem like the perfect predator, however that is far from the truth with his herbivorous diet. With no teeth and poor eyesight it’s no wonder why this ancient creature has superb hearing and sense of smell.
